New exhibition - Pierre de Wet

We are very proud and happy to announce that on Wednesday 12 February a solo exhibition of Pierre de Wet’s recent works will be opening at Ibis Gallery. A resident of Montagu, we are pleased and gratified to be hosting this exhibition by an artist who is both a gentleman and a gentle man.

Pierre, in his own words:

After completing my studies in 1964, I worked as a graphic designer in the advertising industry whereafter I lectured in this field, continuing to produce work in the design, painting and sculpture disciplines, finally settling down to concentrate more on illustration, painting and drawing which today remain my interests.

Realising all too clearly now that time waits for none of us and encouraged by my wife Corry, family and friends to hold my first one-man exhibition, I have chosen to do so in the lovely town of Montagu – an inspiration and balm for the soul.
